Meet Mariano Rivera At Donation Drop For Hurricane Victims In New Rochelle

Yankees great and White Plains resident Mariano Rivera and Steiner Sports Marketing have teamed up to assist with the relief efforts for victims of the recent natural disasters that have ravaged Puerto Rico, Mexico and the Caribbean.

Fans are encouraged to donate supplies Thursday, Sept. 28 at the Steiner Warehouse loading dock at 10 Cedar Street in New Rochelle (directly across the street from the Toyota dealership).

Donations are being accepted from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. 

And yes, the star player will be there to meet with donors. Rivera accepting supplies and meeting with the generous donors. He will be joined by popular television personality Evelyn Lozada, the star of Basketball Wives.

Supplies being accepted include bottled water, non-perishable food, toothbrushes and toothpaste, medical supplies (band-aids, aspirin, alcohol and hand sanitizer), soap, feminine hygiene products, batteries, and portable lamps. Signs at the dock to direct fans will read Steiner Sports Natural Disaster Supply Drop Off.

Along with the Mariano-led effort on Thursday, hours for drop-off are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6: p.m.
